Neuro-Linguistic Programming is
the psychology of success. It allows us to understand how the brain
codes and stores information and how language affects that. It also
allows us to break down the strategies of successful people and teach
them to people who want to do better.
The tools of NLP have assisted us in uncovering
the reasons why some students struggle with learning, which is that
they are missing steps in how they process and code information. It
allows us to find these missing steps and teach them to the person,
therefore giving them better strategies for how to
learn and use their mind effectively.
In addition to its effectiveness for working
with struggling students, NLP provides powerful tools for managing
habits and behaviors by helping us release
ineffective strategies and replace them with new, effective
strategies. When we keep running the same ineffective
strategy over and over, whether it’s a learning strategy
or a coping strategy, it becomes like a finely grooved pattern
in the brain. It’s sort
of like a CD that gets stuck and keeps playing over and
over and over. They only way to interrupt the pattern is to scratch
the
CD and create a new neurological connection in
the brain, which we are able to do using the tools of NLP.
We also use a technique we call “TapAway,” which
is based on Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), to
get rid of negative emotions in the body. It is based on the same theory
as acupuncture (except we use our fingertips instead of needles), and
it works by triggering the body’s release points and clearing
out blocks in the mind and body.
NLP and EFT combined together provide simple,
effective tools for removing mental and emotional blocks to success and anchoring
emotional states and strategies that allow you to achieve success and
reach your unlimited potential.
We combine these with tools for accelerated
learning and strategies for how to learn spelling, math,
reading, memorizing and test-taking. Success Tracks’ unique
academic success strategies are modeled after the work of leaders in
the field of Accelerative Learning including Dr. Georgi Lozanov, Howard
Berg, Tony Buzan, Bobbi DePorter, Dr. Don Blackerby and Pat Wyman. Each
of these leaders in the area of accelerated learning and success strategies
has their own unique expertise, and all have laid the foundation for
others following in their work to continue to build on it and take it
to a new level.
Visualization allows
the client to use their unconscious mind and imagination to work through
barriers to their success. Visualization simply produces a state of light
trance (not unlike a light trance experienced with daydreaming or meditation)
which calms the mind and heightens its receptivity to suggestion which
often produces positive results.
Essential oils are derived
from the extracts of plants and have tremendous healing qualities.
Used for sensory therapy to cultivate creativity, calm or focus through use
of certain scents such as rosemary, cinnamon and vanilla or essential oils
such as peace and calming, forgiveness or abundance.
Our approach to coaching is through the concept
of personal leadership and the laws of attraction. Once you learn to
lead yourself in the direction of the things you want most, then you
will be empowered to create any outcome you desire. We combine all of
the above to assist you/your child/your team to overcome blocks and learn
how to achieve mastery in learning and in life.
Our Programs are based on a 3-Part Success
Formula:
The 7 Keys to Success – Create WIN-WIN outcomes and
an environment that focuses on and celebrates success.
Mental and Emotional Mastery: Master
emotional states and beliefs that are supportive of achieving success,
eliminate mental and emotional blocks to success and vision your goals.
Power Learning and Success Strategies: Learn
how to read faster and understand more; memorize important names and
information; prepare for and take school, professional and licensing
exams; communicate effectively; have a positive attitude; relax, focus
and motivate yourself.
We believe that learning is not just about academic
skills. Of course, we need to know how to spell, read and write in order
to get along in the world. But being successful is also about learning
how to think in a way that motivates us, how to communicate effectively
with others, how to problem-solve and think creatively and how to vision
our success: tools that we all need to succeed in any are of life, whether
in school, at home or at work.
